Coline Ploquin completed a high school diploma in cinema, followed by preparatory studies in Applied Arts, and briefly studied anthropology before graduating from the Paul Poiret School of Costume Design in 2014. Since then, she has worked as a costume designer, director, and occasionally dresser. She creates, sews, and maintains costumes for various settings — in workshops (such as Moulin Rouge), for companies (Saudade by P. Calvario, le 3ème Cirque, Studio d’Asnières, La Pieuvre…), theaters (La Pépinière, Le Montansier...), on tours reaching as far as China, or from her workshop in Normandy. Recently, she assisted director Julie Cavanna with her adaptation of Le Suicidé titled Un Héros, Cyril Le Grix on Callas and Le Journal de l’année de la Peste. She regularly collaborates with Philippe Calvario, notably designing costumes for his latest production Double Inconstance. She particularly enjoys projects that allow her to learn new skills and move towards more sustainable practices, such as creating the costumes for Papoùtsi (company Les Rivages du Vent), all dyed with natural colors. She has worked with La Pieuvre on the costume design of the projects Whales, Portrait, Les amours de la pieuvre, Canicular, and Bruitage.
