Bruitage is a duo that extends and deepens a choreographic and sound-based exploration, where both mediums blend live to create the image we see. The project focuses on the technical and handcrafted aspects of sound effects. Starting with the manipulation of objects and materials, the duo searches for hidden sounds to begin a choreographic dialogue. Their main drive is a creative process rooted in experimentation and intention.
Bruitage explores unique musicalities, generating a wide range of sensations that are expressed through movement and physical states. Somewhere between realism, hyperrealism, surrealism, and complete abstraction, combinations emerge that are both obvious and unexpected. The piece aims to bring to life a sound-based body—patched together and shaped by the sounds that animate it: a sonic Frankenstein.
